Natwest Reward Direct Debits

Does anyone know how quickly the reward shows up as pending?

I had a direct debit taken on the 31st of October that I thought should have been taken on the 1st & so I was going to be one short.

I used a paypal direct debit to make up for it, but even though that paid out yesterday, there is no sign of the pending reward yet.

I just setup a £3 moneybox direct debit as well, just in case that helps.

I don't see anything in the T&C that exclude certain direct debits, so I'm hoping it is just a processing delay.

I can see from previous months that the reward is dated when the 2nd direct debit goes out, but I haven't kept track of when they actually appear.

  • Don't panic - it usually takes a couple of days.
  • You can just pay out 2 DDs from moneybox and that will get you the reward, no need to use paypal as well. As @changearound1 said it will take a couple of days to show up as pending. The reward will show up as pending for a month or so before you will be able to redeem it.

I normally just use a couple of DD & don't bother with trying to game them, it's just I had a paypal account already and a DD set up for month 1 when it's kinda hard to get normal DD paid out. I haven't bothered with moneybox before as their rates are kinda poor.

I know they take 35 days to go from pending, but I thought I saw them show up as pending quicker than this.

It's not gaming them at all. They say to pay out 2 direct debits, not 2 different direct debits, which is what I'm doing. With Moneybox you only have to keep £2 in it and it is easy access so you can transfer the money straight back out again once it has been deposited by direct debit.
