Morning all..Late today, been talking to the builder next door for a while, I think we did a version of what you do TA, we did a lot of world to rights stuff and discovered we both think life is short so seize it by the short and curlies. In that spirit, my seizing of it today is curtains, old ones from upstairs being put in the kitchen and new ones [well, old ones] from ebay being put upstairs. I do have to alter them a bit, put a bit of stuff at the bottom do that'll take me a couple of days. I'm meeting friends for coffee later so I'll do some shopping on the way back, to get some stuff for making a christmas pudding. I have quite a lot of stuff I need, but no rum, and no stout. I'm mish mashing recipes from Delia and Nigella with extra nuts. Made a kind of kedgeree yesterday with smoked mackerel so that's there ready and there are two portions of sausage lasagne which will either be eaten or go in the freezer. Things last for ages in the fridge when it's winter here, much longer than you'd think. Probably because it's colder...Scarlet, my condolences, how awful for her. I hope you enjoy meeting more of your family, never a great time when it's on the back of a funeral but good to grab the opportunity when it arises, wrest a bit of sunshine out of it isn't it. Gers, I am actually re-reading the books now, and I did enjoy the series, and him as an actor, I will have to look it up. ENjoy your busy busy day! Izzy, even cart horses start somewhere. Before long you'll be a sleek thoroughbred
Rosy, hope your pooch perks up! TA, I know! What's up with this interminable rain stuff? Don't get too stuck in though, life is for fun sometimes! Hugs and stuff for the not 100%-ers...Take care all..

Morning all, I didn't get on yesterday. We took Dad to do a shop in the new Aldis and he spent the large sum of £23. We dodged the showers and I had finished my shop, packed it in the car and then went back in to find help him. He needed to pick up and look at almost everything even though there was nothing in there that was different form the old Aldis! There were quite a few spaces on the shelves especially the condiment aisle and the freezers. We went back to his house for coffee and I did some decluttering while I was there. He has been collecting lots of "rubbish" in his conservatory, so I sorted it then put it straight into the recycling or rubbish bin. He had collected 7 empty ice cream tubs and lots of cardboard but I fear he's going to fall over the stuff which surrounds his chair.
Today I have some tidying to do myself as I have some stock goods to put away, then my shopping bags to fold. We were going over the van, but the weather is mizzzling rain, so we'll try again tomorrow.
Scarlet sorry to hear about your friend. Enjoy your break.
Take care all

Afternoon all, thanks for the start nmlc, enjoy your time off x
Late one from me - work is bonkers crazy right now. I didn't miss the job deadline, they closed it 8 days early - probably too many applicants - ridiculous.
Sorry to hear about your friend @ScarletRibbons. I hope tomorrow goes smoothly and that you enjoy seeing your nephew at the weekend x
Well done on the 1st loss @IzzyBee - I could never get on with skipping even as a child - too dumpy!
@-taff - no rum
That really made me laugh about picking everything up in Aldi @nannywindow!
Poor little one @dp1 - she's such a little trooper x
We have SW chicken jalfrezi for tea tonight. Will get a candle on the go as I'm in the office tomorrow and don't want to take the pong with me.
Have a good afternoon/evening everyone.
Coxy
