Moving house and supplier

I'm moving house next week and I'm not clear what to do for the best regarding my energy supply. I'm currently with London Power (supplied by Octopus) and moving out of London, so I'm assuming I can't move with them. So do I just have to go with the supplier the house currently is with (EON Next)? Or can I switch to another and is there value in doing that?

Hi,you need to contact EON, supply meter readings.1

You always have to open an account first with the provider who is already supplying the property and give them opening meter reads. Also a good idea to take pics in case of any problems with the previous owner not doing so.
Once this has been done you are free to switch suppliers if you want to.Barnsley, South Yorkshire

Some suppliers allow you to port your existing tariff, only they can tell you. But, unless you are on a cheap fix, there's no point, SVT under the EPG will be the cheapest.
You will be in a deemed tariff with Eon from day one.No free lunch, and no free laptop

E.ON Next are not bad. I'm with them because I was transferred to them when Symbio went belly up.Email: hi@eonnext.comFacebook: m.me/eonnextPhone: 0808 501 5200
Name of their Standard Variable Tariff is Next Flex and it is pegged to the government's Energy Price Guarantee until 31 March next year.0
