Task bar has vanished

Advise please as how to restore the task bar which has vanished.

It was located at the base of the screen, (log out button, office word / excels etc, printer, games, and some other icons)

I do have cats and it is very possible one of them has walked over the keyboard and stepped on a button to cause this............................

I can find settings eventually, but there is no option for task bar.

probably a silly question but what operating system are you running and on what hardware

Windows 10  on an Acer laptop

Hover your mouse at the very bottom of the screen and it will pop up. Right click and you can select settings from there

Right click on start up screen. select Personalise.  It works here, anyway.

Settings > Personalisation > Taskbar

X R thank you but nothing comes up.

Rob and Cajef ~ Personalisation - taskbar comes up, the top ffour items are on (search, task view, widgets, chat)

The next 3 are off (pen menu, touch keyboard, virtual touchpad)

Taskbar corner overflow, is greyed out

Taskbar behaviours, is also greyed out

Which should be on / off.

have you tried going to bottom of screen and hover until you get a double headed arrow, then choose?

Ok sorted now thank you  all.

Went to Ctrl / shift/ esc, then processes, windows explorer, restar.

That has solved it.
