I urgently need to set up 2 new direct debits for a bank switch but all the charity sites I have looked at say it takes at least 4 weeks to set up. Any ideas for instant direct debits?

Plum and moneybox only take a few days to set up and wealthify's usually done within a week, as do credit cards in my experience. Scottish widows, ecology and my local credit union take over a month to set up so avoid them.ForumUser7 said:

Which bank are you switching from? If it's Natwest or RBS you may want to open another current account elsewhere and switch that instead. This is because direct debits on Natwest and RBS do not appear until the first direct debit has been taken out, which will delay your switch.1
