Hi all,
I had a parking ticket on a residential road where i though i could park - the signs on that road were all covered up by white sticky tape therefore one would presume no rules apply.
I appealed.. and appealed again.. got my car clamped in the process.. my car windows were smashed and tyres were slit whilst clamped.. and then i got a letter through saying i was due in court unless i paid £500. I was scared and took out a loan to pay the fine but still feel like i should have won the case.
Several years have passed now since but several people have told me i should appeal this. Please can anyone give advice on this and if there is anything i can do?

Several years have passed nowHow many years have passed? Who issued the fine? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Hi @Umkomaas It has been just over 3 years and it was the council that issued it1

I think it's the end of the line on this. You could engage your local councillor to see if they can help, but I think it's a forlorn exercise - better spending your time with other things in your life.carmyhazel said:Hi @Umkomaas It has been just over 3 years and it was the council that issued itPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum.
