Lowell and CCJs

Hi. I'm am sorry if this is in the wrong place but I am not sure where to post.
I got into some financial trouble back in 2014 and was issued 2 CCJs. One in 2016 and another one in 2020.
Lowell group were in control of the CCJs and I have paid them every month since they were issued.
I have been paying the 2016 one like clockwork every month and never missed a payment. I was able to see the payments that I had made on the Lowell account section.
The other CCJ from 2020 showed there aswell and I could keep track of the payments and progress.
The 2016 CCJ has been removed from my credit report now and in the last 6 years, I have paid back half the money owed so far.
I went to check the Lowell account to have a look at the CCJs that I have been paying, and both accounts have disappeared with them and I have no proof of payments that have been made.
The 2020 CCJ still shows on my credit report and the direct debit for it came out of my bank today, although I have no proof on Lowell's account now.
Do I stop paying them now or not?
I am really unsure about what's going on.
Thanks

Don’t stop paying I’ve just finished paying off my ccj with them and it took longer then 6 years, but just because it’s not on your file doesn’t mean that’s the end of it as they can still take things further all be it they’d have to reply to the courts for this.
I’d say at the very least maybe give them a call or better still email them if you want proof of your communication and ask for a statement of all payments made.
also the older the CCJs get sometimes the less money they will expect to close it again it won’t be marked as fully satisfied but as it’s not on your file I don’t think they’d would be of any issue as that would be the end of it so if you was ever in a position to settle it for a lesser amount definitely try to.
also on a side note as you mentioned the important thing is you can prove your paying as it’s going out your bank to them in the form of a direct debit so not hard to trace how much and when it’s been paid£2820/£4000 0% 24 months pay £150 HSBC
£2,100/£3000 0% 27 months pay £150 M&S
£3,050/£4000 0% 27 months pay £150 HALI
£2,200/£7250 0% 14 months pay £60 RBS
£990/£2000 28% Zable closed £60
mortgage £22,000/£89,000 2 years left0 -
They have a CCJ and you paying debts is an acknowledgement of the debt so they can always enforce it if you stop paying. I would say though if you do have the money, ask about a full and final settlement figure, they might bite and offer a discount to clear it all. Remember many debt firms buy debt for pennies in the pound so if they have made a profit from this debt, they may be willing to give you a reduction0

Ask Lowell for a statement of account.
Debts remain collectable even after they drop off your credit file.
CCJ`s can be further enforced by use of Baillifs, or an attachment to your earnings if you fail to maintain payments, asking for a settlement may be productive.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. There have been a few short lived accounts on here that seem to enjoy arguing with Sourcrates, I don't know why1
