Nationwide Flex instant saver asking for a payment

Options
I opened a Nationwide Flex instant saver 2 (paying 2% interest) on 7th October and paid in £5K. I logged into the NW app today and saw a message on the app saying if you don't pay any money into the savings account by 6th Dec we'll close the account. So I paid in £1 and the message went away. I've just looked up the T&Cs and it says if the account isn't funded within the first 60 days the account will be closed. So I'm confused as to why my £5K paid in on the day the account was opened didn't count? Maybe it was just a computer glitch or bug? Has anyone else had this issue?

Is the £5k showing in the balance on of your account?

I often get reminders from various banks to fund my newly opened savings account, but they usually arrive within a day or 2 of opening it. If the balance is correct, I would ignore it.

Yes. When the account was opened it showed 0.00. I then transferred £5K from my other NW saver to it and the balance updated immediately. So it's not like the account was initially opened with the 5K which I could kind of understand more.

I got an email in a similar scenario from Yorkshire Building Society - they said theirs are automated to send even if the account is funded so to ignore it. Unsure how it works for Nationwide
