Virgin Media price increases

I'm thinking about switching to Virgin Media for broadband and tv, and I was wondering when do
they usually increase their prices? Also, roughly how much have they
increased their prices over the last few years? If they increase their
prices within my contract, would I be able to leave without incurring a
charge?

Like most they are now RPI + near 4%, if that is stated in any contract you take out then the increase will not be a "get out of jail free card"0

I've not had a mid contract price increase with Virgin in the last 6 years or so. I have also negotiated extras for the same or less price every 18 months, so I pay less now for all my TV and BB needs than I did 6 years ago (not all with Virgin previously). Depends what you want - the more you want/need, the better the deals. If you are just after basic BB and TV, their prices are okay. They have been pushing the Volt package recently which comes with an O2 sim. It's a good deal whether you need the sim or not, but is better value as it has Sky packages and high speed BB.0
