Royal Mail Tracked 24/48 - are they delivered faster than 1st/2nd class?

Really hate it when people use royal mail, its horrific here.Been waiting for multiple tracked 48h parcels now.As I understand these are delivered by the normal postman, so if its too big to carry they may not bother taking it?One has been in a loop for two weeks, out for delivery then unable to attempt delivery, the arrange redelivery option says"unable to be done for this parcel" or "there is a unknown error".The other is today 2nd delivery attempt but I already had letters through the door so I know its not coming.Comparing the 24h version to special delivery I feel is a dishonest post.Special delivery is a guarantee of next day delivery, also a choice of pre 9am and pre 1pm. If the target time/date is not met a full refund is given and in addition has a target delivery window, instead of between 7.30am and 7.30pm. Tracked 24h isnt fit to lace special delivery boots. I would be very surprised if SD parcels are treated equally to tracked 24h, in a strike not that long ago managers were delivering SD parcels whilst tracked stuff was left with letters etc.In the heirachy SD is right at the top, tracked is just a little above stamped letters. Standard parcelforce will be above tracked.Back to my issue ringing royal mail gives me no solutions, they insist I need an attempted delivery before I can pickup from depot, post office etc. So in other words if they never attempt delivery I will never ever see my parcel. Finally yeah if tracked 24h is 1-2 day, then it its really tracked 48h and likewise tracked 48h should be called tracked 72h. I really hope tracked 48h isnt treated same as second class letters though as usually second class takes 2-3 months to arrive here.0
