DWP - help

Hello,
I have a problem with DWP below is a shortend version:
May 2022 I sent a letter to DWP asking how much my government pension is from my late husband pension. - no reply June followed up sending copy of letters - no response.
July telephoned & was told 'flagged for urgent reply' - no response
August sent copies of letters to DWP complaints - no response
September/Oct spoke to ICE independent case examiner who said until I receive a reply from DWP there is nothing they can do.....ummm
So where do I go from here.
All letters were sent registered mail.

my government pension
Are you referring to a pension payable by DWP as your latest husbands employment with them
Or the State Pension?
If the latter have you reached SPA? If so was it under the old rules or new State Pension rules?0 -
The standard response is to escalate this to your MP.As an aside, it is a waste of money sending registered letters to DWP as most (all ?) of their post is dealt with by mail handling sites that simply open the post, scan it in and immediately return any documents such as bank statement etc.

Can you be clearer as to the nature of the problem.
How old are you and when did/do you become eligible for state pension?
Had your husband reached State Pension Age and if so when?
Are you indicating that your late husband was a member of a Public Service Pension Scheme eg Civil Service/TPS/Police/Fire Service/LGPS etc?0 -
I am 76. My husband passed age 44 in 1995. We were overseas, I carried on paying my voluntary contributions yearly 5th April until 2006 for previous years as requested by DWP.0

So presumably the OP started getting her SP in 2006 at the age of 60? But has seen nothing for her husband??
Would this case then fall within those for older women who need to have their entitlement reassessed? If so I've heard there's a horrendous backlog and chasing will not help.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Would your husband have reached State Pension Age (on his 65th birthday) before or after 5th April 2016 ?

You reached SPA in 2006. You had not remarried?
