I loved that programme! Felicity Kendal was fantastic and 'Margo' was always so polite about saying she thought her neighbours were absolutely barking mad! :rotfl: I couldn't do the whole 'rear a pig/lamb/calf for the freezer part, though. Did the rearing part when younger, but mum never ate lamb for months and months in case she got 'Lucy' in her order and we always got upset seeing calves going away after having halter trained and groomed them :o . Nope, I can't do that part, so I'm choosing the financially self-sufficient lifestyle - if I want meat, I need to pay for it. :D

I loved that programme too, used to watch it all the time as a kid! I can't do the animal thang either, that's why I'm becoming a veggie. Animals on my smallholding will be for milking/ collecting eggs from/ cuddling only :D

What on earth is a barmcake?
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

Whitewing, sorry you're feeling down today, it's no wonder you're feeling so 'stuck' wth all those things on hold. Even though it's frustrating, try to remember that most of the things you're waiting on are positive things that will help your family enormously - having them in the pipeline is far better than not having them at all. I'm sorry for the tricky situation with OH's family and the money, these things are never easy and you're right to remember DS's security along with OH's needs. Big hug x

My morning has been a frustrating one! The worst is over now though, and i've finally managed to order my meds which will be brought over from Wales by a friend so that'll save the postage costs :D We're off to my brother's in Brum this afternoon so I need to go and pack, tidy up and sort out the cats - best get a move on! Will hopefully be able to get on here over the weekend (need my fix ;) especially as bro is loaded).

Good luck with the baking Mumzy; washing seems fine btw, but OH is having an Obas Oil steam for his man flu so I can't smell much else :D

Have a great weekend all; must get into this gardening malarky when I get back too.
