I've been good today. Took my scart thing back to Tesco and got my refund. Busy in store though - nightmare.

Got a couple of unexpected Chrissy pressies given to me - bottle of wine keeping for Valentine's Day & some toiletries.

Made a get well/new year card for my friend.

Got everything organised for when I was going into town anyway so no postage or special trips.

    Am feeling good!

  • I'd like to give this £4k/year challenge a go. I'm fairly new to MSE but been living fairly thriftily out of necessity for the past few years. Need to do the sums, and figure out how to put all the fancy comments in my signatures, and I'm a little confused by the forum, and all the threads and links and posts, and how to find the same post twice.

Good on yer Nykmedia - I think its achievable and a really good way of making you think before you spend. Cheers.

If you have family then the challenge is £4000 plus child benefit :)

Just a quick update to make sure everyone knows what they are letting themselves in for here. This is an online money challenge that allows you £4000 for living. This figure does NOT include rent/mortgage/council tax/water rates. If you receive child benefit then your total is £4000 + child benefit.

Various allowances have been made to enable a few more people to take part.

All challenger numbers can be found at post 1, along with the basic 'rules' of this challenge.

Please ensure that you have considered your 2008 budget and are fully aware of exactly why you are participating in this challenge.

  • Whitevan woman - the best thing I have found for using this site is the Quick Links at the top - subscribe to any thread you want to read again, that is pretty much the only way I ever find anything, it does take a bit of doing though, good luck!

    xx
    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • I THINK THIS IS A GREAT IDEA. I HAD ALREADY DECIDED TO AIM FOR £1,000 FREE MONEY BY NOV 30th 2008 THROUGH THE VARIOUS CASHBACK SITES ETC, ETC.
