I'm going to have an extra frugal lunch.
I flour/egg/breadcrumbed some chicken this morning for dinner tonight. There is quite a bit of the breadcrumbs left over (originally made from Smartprice bread) and I was going to chuck them as i'd dipped the raw chicken in to them.
However, as long as they are cooked through, they should be fine, so i've been creative and I'm going to mix a tin of (yellow sticker !) tuna with the half tin of (Value!) tomatoes in the fridge, stick it in a dish, top with the breadcrumbs and some grated cheese. Then bake and munch for lunch!"Stay Wonky":D

Hello all!
Bails, thanks for trying to explain to CharliesAngel, you said it far better that I did.
Whitewing, hope you are feeling better soon.
Keren - I love your freezing tips and now have stuff in my freezer that I would never have thought about in the past - it's saving me a small fortune as the wastage is now virtually zero.
Elantan - as already explained, work related expenses are not included in this challenge as it costs everyone different amounts to have specific jobs and, as already stated, pensions, non-indebtedness, savings, holidays, luxury items, mortgage over-payments etc are all the results of our frugality. And I've already added your name to post one, so fetch your billy can.
Harduphester - I'll get myself in gear for the cottage industry challenge soon, I promise. I just don't know where the time goes. I have sold a few items this year, though, via eBid
I'm off to check page 143 for last week's frugal fitness club figures and am dreading it... I think I've increased my figure instead of decreased it!! Back soon to admit my guilt or to glow with frugal fitness pride.I reserve the right not to spend.

GUESS WHAT?!
1st February 2008, first day of week 1 as a member of the frugal fitness club, my figure was 293.5
8th February 2008, first day of week 2 as a member of the frugal fitness club, my figure is 288.5 (last night)
I've reduced my figure by 5!I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Thanks, Slowly!
I've stuck a note of it in my Billy Can so I have Will Power on my side to make me complete the month long challenge. Must get on my bike and play catch-up with the calorie counter, though, as I was hoping to be at 1000 burn per day by now. I like my food too much to cut down eating, so burning off extra is the only way I'll manage this.
Off to catch up with housework now, maybe that'll burn a few more.I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Charlie'sAngel, please don't be offended and I'm glad that you have posted again. I genuinely think that we are wanting to pick your brain to help us live more frugally. As with texts, it's easy sometimes to misinterpret posts and take them the wrong way. Would you be able to explain a bit more how you manage/any great tips please? What about toiltetries for example? And vet's bills? (these cost me a fortune! ) Would you feel up to posting your whole budget? Thanks, I would love to live on such a small amount!:D
I agree with bails.Would love to hear some of your tipslost my way but now I'm back ! roll on 2013

Hi Mollymop, I was going to wait until the end of the month but couldn't. I think I had convinced myself that I had gained instead of lost because of quitting smoking and all the extra baking I've been doing (and eating) - bread, biscuits, scones, cakes etc. It can't possibly be my own lack of will power. I mean LOOK! Billy Can hasn't deserted me, he's right here with little notes stuck inside him. One now says +51.28 (thats pounds saved from 40 days without ciggys) and the other now says -5 (thats how many inches I've shrunk my figure in one week).
On the downside, I am still HERE, in these forums, instead of catching up with the housework and burning off enough to warrant baking more cakes this afternoon! I actually fancy a nice trifle for tomorrow but have no cream! Hmm... perhaps just some sponge and hm custard. Or an apple pie... ooh, with custard. Or both! I mean, the oven's going to be on anyway! Best fill it!:rotfl:I reserve the right not to spend.

Well done Nyk, great result! Loving the mexican wave smileys, I want some!
As for the FFC, I'm starting a bit late - like, erm, todayI just haven't been able to do anything up to this point so I'm going to carry on til it's been a month and then see if I've lost any, hope that's okay and well, if it's not
Went for a walk in the lovely sunshime this afternoon, first time in quite a while, and I've started an exercise log. Sadly no Billy Can here yet as the recycling went out just before the post, but Mr Will Power's presence is required here for a whole host of reasons so he'll be surfacing asap
Just ordered another £10 from Mr Pigsback, woo hoo! About the only positive MS thing I've done this week it feels like, but the truth will out tomorrow on Count Up Day!The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000
