Not that I would ever pass judgement nor would I like to be accused of jumping to the wrong conclusions but, aside from the apparent fact that his name is Paul, I'm more interested in HOW TO BE A SIZE 8, ESPECIALLY IN JANUARY?! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Dare I admit I am a size 6, desperately striving to become a nice rounded 8, so paul next time your mystery shopping near m&S keep your eyes open for a size smaller.:rotfl:19th March 2007 LBM£5,969.63 1st January 2018 £5960.18, 1st January 2019 £11,032.0018th August 2023 £12,435.00, Student Loan £22244.00 From 2009-12Challenges: To learn to stop spending..0 -

Come with me for some mystery shopping meals and I will bring you a few size 8s!0 -
Nyk have you been to the Co-op yet?
:rotfl: I updated my signature and then posted the spend on the grocery thread: I spent £3.65 -
1 x wholemeal loaf - NO DISCOUNTED LOAVES - 65p
1 x pack chicken fillets - reduced to clear - £1.50
1 x whole farmfresh chicken - rediced to clear - £1.50
:T :T :T Not bad IMHO
PENNYTOMYNAME - SIZE 6??????? WOW!
How about some of my various pasta (20p per 500g) dishes? Or some nice Maris Pipers (26p/kg) mashed with butter (unbranded 58p) and fresh cream (reduced to 39p)?I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

When it was Safeway (not Morrisons) I used to buy food late at night. They sold whole chickens at 10p!0 -
Evening all
I thought that as I get benefits on a fortnightly basis that I would do 4-week (lunar) months, giving me 13 months in the year (it makes it easier for budgeting the bills). The first 4 weeks are up on Monday, ready to start again on Tuesday, so I will update my sig then.
Mrs Mc - I've copied your recipe for flour tortillas, but as I'm on my own 8 is way too many for one meal - is it possible to freeze the dough and then defrost and roll when needed? (hope this makes sense)
Thanks

Now you're just showing off!I have the little Co-op store, the little Co-op store or the little Co-op store from which to choose, but on special occasions, we do the 15 mile round trip for the Somerfield savers. On REALLY, REALLY special occasions, we make a day of it (counts as day trips and entertainment) and make the 125 mile round trip to the big Tesco store :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

The local shop in my new village closes at 6pm. The nearby town (3 miles away) has many shops but all (but one) is closed by 8pm. There is a SPAR that is open until 10pm but there are never any real late-night bargains. Pity really.0 -
Hi. Yes, we do have energy saving lightbulbs. Mum got them as a freebie because she's on HB and CTB but she hates them as they take a few seconds to come to full brightness so she passed them into me
That is a problem with any fluorescent or energy-saving bulb (especially in colder weather). Also, as they age, they get less bright.
Many voluntary groups give out these bulbs, so do many County and Parish Councils. Energy companies often have such offers. The bulbs last so long that I now have a collection of about twenty waiting to be used!0 -

I was doing mystery shopping near M&S on Monday so I went there and saw some women's panties - £6 for 5 patterned cotton panties (plus another 5 panties at half price).
Now, its none of my business, but isn't your name Paul
Janey, I think we might get away with calling him Fred! I just remembered where I'd heard the name before - had to google it to be sure!!
Anyone know if there's a Holly Golightly on MSE?I reserve the right not to spend.
