was down today so I went out and got a take away plus a a 2litre bottle of Cherry Coke so spent £3.59
  • Spent £11.69 today. Had to have tea in a rush as my fella was going out within an hour of getting home from work so it was macci D's for us. So that leaves us with the grand total of 56p for saturday and sunday!!!!!! Got plenty in the house so Im determined not to spent it. Admittedly we're going out for my dads 60th birthday tommorrow and havespent abit on a pressie for him. But I didn't include this in our original budget. He's only 60 once.

Also, we're going right through the house this year from top to bottom, EVERYTHING is getting changed in this house as it all needs it desperately. So I didn't include this in my budget either. Alot of it is coming from the money I reclaimed back from MBNA etc... I've just brought the new bathroom!!! Wha hey!!! I've waited 2 years for that!! It was also our xmas pressie from MIL/DIL so not cost us anything. Im classing it as 'house essentials/decoration'.

    Not included for me....

    MortgaGE
    Council Tax
Car...incl petrol....last payment on 02 plate in May
Child tax overpayment .....paying back from 2004.......last payment April
Buidings/home content/critical illness I cant do anyhting about till November 2008, as these all started when I bought the house in October

TV LICENCE (11.95) PER MONTH !!!!!! (as far as Im concerned this is another tax) which has gotta be paid or the men in suits come and visit you!!!!!.......unless you want to ditch your telly, and Im sure most people dont want to do that

There you go a wee bit more money to play with if you dont include your tv licence

Every other thing that I spend will be included in the 4k

Another NSD today [4 in a row!], not including bank debits that is *whistles innocently!* Actually I'm furious with myself, I meant to transfer some money from one account to another before the New Year, didn't and now have over £60 in fees.... grrrrrrrrrr.

So, including bank debits, it's [nips off to another site to update details - back in a tic.... :hello: Hello, I'm back, did you miss me?! :rotfl:]

    BT DIRECT DEBITS - 39.50
PAID REFERRAL - 30.00 - grrrr *slaps head*
PAID REFERRAL - 30.00 - grrrr *slaps head* again :o
    ACCOUNT FEE - 6.50 - Right, that's going
O/D PROTECTION - 4.00 - I TOLD them to stop that months ago
    TV LICENCE - £35.14

    and that's it.

so - the TV licence is in the list, the BT is, and the bank fees most definitely are not supposed to be but are. That means that I've now [will update sig asap] £9850.41 left until December 2008..... scary :eek:

Hi there, I've been lurking getting inspired by all your efforts, and trying to do similar at home. I wasn't going to post but I just had to pop on to respond to Bails' query!

If he still has the eye infection, and his eye is sticking together I really would pop along to the vet superpronto. Sounds like cleaning with warm salty water hasn't been enough and he needs antibiotics or antibiotic cream before other damage occurs to the eye/eyesocket. Cat injuries have a tendency to turn into horrible abcesses and this would be horrible around his eye! My poor cat had to be sedated to clean out a horrible abcess in his leg - stress all around. Imagine if your boy's injury turned into something like this! IMO vet bills have to be called "essential".

There is a pet thread on MSE.

Oh, and this may seem a bit random but it is MS (trying to avoid having to take cat to vet!) - he has an eye infection, caused by a cut on upper lid, which has made whole area around eye swell up and stick together. Might this go away if I keep bathing it or am I in danger of animal cruelty?:D Is there a more relevant thread where I can ask this does anyone know?

Oh - and I think the trading skills scheme you're thinking of is called something like LETTS. No experience of it, but it always sounds good to me.

Good luck with your targets folks!
  • Today should be a NSD for me :j

(lets hope DH doesn't decide to go and buy something)

 EDIT; Just had a txt from DH saying his staff account needs to be paid and its £65  I shall never speak the words NSD again until the end of the day

Should be another NSD for me today. Other than bills, I haven't spent a penny yet!!

Gas and electric should have come out of my account yesterday but didn't so I guess my figures will change Monday.

I think I'm going to put the 2007 £20 I still have in my purse in my sealed tin.......at least I can't spend it willy nilly then which is more than likely going to happen.

Stupid that it will 'hurt' to put it in there - if needs be I can always get the tin open, it's not as if it's locked away forever!!
