Will a CIFAS protection registration affect my ability to rent a room in a houseshare?

I'm currently looking to rent a room in a houseshare and I'm at the stage where agents are doing references. An agent told me their landlord wants to do a "speedy reference check" and apparently one of the things these do is look out for things like fraud. How much will the protection registration affect my ability to rent a room?

Also, when I spoke to someone on the phone regarding the CIFAS they told it was a "category 0" or something like that and told me it was the least serious.

If you're on about the CIFAS you posted about in May, that's a protective marker for being a victim of fraud i.e you didn't do the fraud.

It won't make any difference to your ability to rent a property.
