ATS Euromaster - Club60 Discounts

Today was MOT test and annual service day for son's 10 year old Polo.

As I have my occasional uses it was my task to drop the car off first thing in the morning and subsequently to receive the phone call informing me that work needed doing on suspension which would if not carried out cause an MOT failure. Cost quoted was a tad over £300 including new wiper blades and the annual service. I'd already paid for the MOT test with a Groupon voucher (cost £17).

Before collecting the vehicle, I decided just to check if there were any discount codes available online for ATS Euromaster services. Eventually spotted a link for Club60 discounts on a range of services which could be obtained by application for a membership card.

Application took several minutes and an acknowledgement to say a card would be posted out to my home address.

On collecting the vehicle I enquired if it was eligible for the 15% discount. Sure enough it was so ended up with a decent reduction in the whole price. Should I pass that on to son - Hmmm ?

Anyway, just thought I would post this little anecdote for anyone else who uses independent garages or ATS in particular. There are some advantages to being an oldie!

Used ATS, Kwikfit and National tyres for cheap mot’s in the past.
All failed on something they made up. Went to a decent mot garage and passed first time.
With no work done to the car since they did the mot.
Would not trust them to pump up the tyres.
