British Gas It's a gas alright!

Good Afternoon,
I have my gas and a maintenence contract with British Gas. They have ported my gas account to a new website but left the maintenance contract on the old site. I submitted my actual gas reading on the 1st October, to them, and they acted upon it appropriately. Then, a week later, they invented a new reading, over estimated my useage, ported my gas account to the new site and reduced my balance accordingly. They cancelled my D/D. I have complained about all this. They restored my reading and balance but have yet to reinstate my D/D. I am left with my account over two sites, a cancelled D/D and an App which only now shows the maintenance contract. (With a never ended message on the App saying it will be updated). There has been no communication to me surrounding this intervention. No apology or explanation has been forthcoming regarding their errors. I am reluctant to set up the D/D again myself lest I meddle and duplicate. Has any other folk's life been enhanced in this way by the delights of British Gas. I wonder if I should just put it down to the dystopian world I find myself in where the concept of "The Customer" been banished into history.
