Migrate IMAP email

Afternoon
Currently have our email setup on a webhosting solution using Helm and access the mailboxes as IMAP via a couple of mail clients. Our webhosts have said they are discontinuing Helm and we will have to migrate to CPanel which will also mean a change of servers (but not name servers).
Obviously know need to setup the domains and mailboxes under CPanel which is a pain but doable but what is the most efficient way of migrating a decades worth of emails? In the past I've created a new account in the mail client and dragged the mails between the two but its taken days to finish the process
