Replacement Gullie on side of the house

Options
Hello!

Tldr: £1,500 for a replacement gullie (old one was clay), including lifting and replacing some paving slabs.

We had some surface water pool around the gullies from our bathroom - a company came and attempted to flush the blockage but said it was knackered after trying to no avail. It's an old clay pipe which we had issues with the main waste pipe 5 years ago so not hugely surprising.

They quoted £1,500 for the lot Inc. parts but no idea if that's reasonable.

If the gully trap is clay, the rest of the pipes underground are likely to be the same. Are they proposing to replace all of the pipes as well as the gully ?
Her courage will change the world.

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.
  • No just the gully - they have also said it depends what they see when they have a look.

We did have an issue with the main waste pipe around 5 years ago and they were relined. Again, they were clay and knackered!
