Hi Hope someone can help, I have been trying to get my solar panels MCS certificate sorted as company went bust before finalising it. I did an appication for a new certificate and sent to Octopus, here is their reply - 'the MPAN hasn't been updated and the supply MPAN on the MCS has been disconnected (1100019035362). You will need to this updated to the one that we supply for us to progress the application.'
Please can someone advise what to do next? thank you in advance

You could contact this organisation for advice:

Sorry, I have just seen this on another page on the site:WHAT TO DO IF THINGS GO WRONGPlease note, MCS can only assist if:
- The installer is still trading
What is it that you have sent to Octopus?0 -

Please can someone advise what to do next? thank you in advanceWhen was your installation, who was your installer and when did they go bust?Per the MCS registration requirements, they should have been a member of two other, separate, bodies:For a trading supplier, the MCS search function will tell you which ones your installer is a member of:- A certification scheme (eg. NICEIC or NAPIT), which makes sure that the installer knows what they're doing and provides redress if the installation isn't up to scratch.; and
- A consumer
code (eg. RECC or HIES), which will include insurance to cover deposits and warranties.
(I'm not sure if that helps with an installer that has gone bust but MCS should still have the records.)In your case, if your installer went bust without completing the MCS registration you might be able to get redress through their certification scheme.N.
