How on earth do you play your own Amazon music albums after recent updates?

i am going to use just one title as an example but applies to several.
Fleetwood Mac - Tango in the Night. Purchased years ago and AutoRiP. used to just select it from my list of albums and it played. then when this album was removed from "included with prime" i had to move it to a playlist, although i still owned it i needed to "upgrade to unlimited" to be able to play it, moving from albums in to a playlist fixed it, although annoying.
now with this new shuffle "feature" the same album is now unplayable other than in the "shuffle mode".
i'd like to add, some albums still work from "Album list" and other work from "Playlist" but some are as above.
anyone?

Download it to your PC if not done already. This should give you a folder of mp3 files.
Play these files with your mp3 player of choice2 -
well i meant, play it through the amazon app as i have for a few years.0

I've always assumed the "auto rip" option primarily was to allow you to download MP3s to a local device so you could listen to the album until the physical product arrived.1

You need, as you said, to upgrade to be able to play it normally. Prime membership doesn't allow you to play anything other than on shuffle now as far as I can tell.

Looks like Amazon have recently changed this behaviour for their "Amazon Music" App. It seems to be intended to drive us away from owning music, towards streaming it (perhaps for a fee, later).Google did the same thing last year with the switch from "Play Music" to "Youtube Music"My solution is to store my albums as MP3 files (on my PC, and many on my phone). I can then use any decent MP3 player from the App store to play the phone music.Clearly, the concept of buying an album and playing it is deprecated by the new streaming models.1

thanks all. its odd as some albums i own are still completely playable as they always have been, but some are stuck in this new shuffle system.0

Spotify Free also uses this model. You ca search but often you get a "shuffle". We have Amazon prime but have basically stopped using it as it is useless.

Whenever I ask Alexa to play a track or artist it uses my Spotify account...So, Amazon are just trying to entice people to their streaming service. As always, the free ride comes to an end sooner or later.

Using a firestick and the amazon music app (just prime not the pay extra one) then next to the home icon is a pair of head phones which represent My Music - all my albums are there and I can select any of them and they will play in album order from where I start, while selecting from my artist list will use the shuffle function.
With the smart speakers you have to be quite clear what is required or it will go for the shuffle mode and it can take several tries not to get that
Alexa from my library play the album "The best of Mott the Hoople" - does not work neither does "The best of Mott the Hoople by Mott the Hoople" both get shuffle mode but
Alexa from my library play the album "The best of By Mott the Hoople" does work.
"Alex play music from my library" and various other similar requests provide a random selection of my music as always.
Bizarrely "alex play from my library the album Chain of days" works without needing Silje Nergaard as the artist but several other of her albums go to shuffle mode0
