BT Home Hub using with other ISP

I suspect the answer will be no but never the less has anyone been able to use the hub on another ISP i'm migrating so will probably need to buy a new wireless router.

    Yes, but risky. Don't attempt unless you *really* know what you're doing. Then again, if BT don't want it back then you've nothing to lose

    Many thanks for the link i have found just what i need to modify the hub i'll give it a try next week when i go live with my new ISP.

    As for
    ringo_24601 and eBay
    They go for nothing the postage costs more than they fetch in addition to the hub i have 2 phones which are unused and are useless very low incoming audio or is it me going deaf :rolleyes:

  • Does anyone know if BT ever ask for them back? I was with them on option 3 for a year.

    To be honest, i've never sold anything on ebay and I don't really get it (very poor since I'm in IT).. i'm happy to post my phone off to a better home and bin the hub frankly - Be* sent me a nice new little free box that works just fine

    Hi,
    I migrated to Be a couple of months back and BT haven't asked for the router back (from what I read of the T&Cs, the router was free with a 12 month contract ... unlike Be where the router is only loaned to you for the duration of the contract).

    I flashed my router to the unlocked firmware and, apart from the hub phone not working, it seemed to work fine.

  • I have a homehub and phone which I don't like so went back to my netgear alot easier on ebay they only go for around a tenner so will be keeping mine in case I need a spare...:D
