They have not advised me0 -
You are clearly not fit to return to your normal work. You need to get another Fit Note from your GP. An employer may be able to make adjustments but there is no certainty that they either can or will.

I got another week off so that two weeks and my pain is gone and eating and drinking and no sign off problems but in my work dont want them to get me to do things like pushing and pulling when my wonds are still healing!. Anyway someone said occupational health above so contacted them for some advice because never had surgery before so dont know what to do at moment0 -
this is in no way medical advice, but there is plenty of information out there on how long after appendectomy you should wait before undertaking 'strenuous' activities, and your GP should write a Fit Note reflecting this. Did the hospital team not ask about your work and give advice? It may depend on whether you had keyhole or more major surgery.
You may also need to not drive: have you been given any advice about that, if you are a driver?Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Your GP can issue a "fit note" stating what adjustments are needed for you to safely return to work. If your employer can't (or won't) meet those adjustments then they must treat you as being off sick. The firm's normal sickness policies would apply.0

Could you not ask your employer if you can be put on light duties for a week or so..?0

You may find that you have to be firm with any managers who think you are fully fit to work. When I had abdominal surgery my manager said I should be able to work 3 days later, whereas my doctor specified a minimum of 2 weeks before returning. My manager's reasoning was that someone else had the same medical problem and was able to start working again very quickly. My problem may appear to have been the same but the actual surgery was massively more intrusive - 7 inch scar as opposed to the other person having a button hole procedure.

Yes they can ask, but that doesn't mean the employer either can or will help. We don't know what the OP does, but it may be that the employer doesn't have any light duties the OP can do. For example, somebody who normally does heavy manual work may or may not be able to do office work.
