Ebay listing font issue

Oh how I hate the revised Ebay listing process!  Can anybody please explain to me why when I now write the listing I use the default 14pt Arial but when it goes live, parts of the description's in a serif font that looks something like Times New Roman?  Going to "revise listing", selecting the text and changing it doesn't work like it used to, so what's going on?  Is it me or what?

I've seen that often too. It often looks ok when making the listing, but when you publish it all gets messed up and you have different paragraphs in completely different fonts.

I have often resorted to selecting all the auction text, pasting it into notepad, switching the ebay listing to HTML, selecting everything, deleting it, switching back out of HTML code and then re-pasting in order to get it to appear correctly!

In al my time listing on ebay I was never able to resolve this issue. Sometimes it would work and other times it wouldn't but changing the font size manually would often not be enough. I noticed that they use one set of sizes for fonts in the drop down menu but in the actual HTML code there used to be another set of sizes like "4" or "5".

In addition to this if I copied and pasted text it seemed like different paragraphs and containers within the HTML code could have different properties and font sizes for each section. Many times I went through this code manually correcting the font sizes only to find it would default back to the original. Used to drive me nuts.
