Hi I have been sent a word document to edit after my friend could get rid of the lines
On the word document it doesn't have the lines yet on her i phone it shows lines
She copied and pasted some of it and made a full word doc out of it.
have screen shot the word doc and the screen shot from the i phone.
When i open the document it says read only if that makes a difference.
Why it this happening and how do i fix it?
Thanks

I don't see any lines? The only lines I can see are the ones that look like they're borders as part of a table layout. Is that what you mean?1

The 1st phone is what I sent to her I phone and the 2nd doc. is what it looks like I her phone the sentences have underlines on them where they shouldn't.
I don't mean the boxes.

As a pure guess it looks a bit as if the default formatting on the underlined one has some switched on for paragraphs?Maybe the type of view in use?If the doc is finished can it just be printed off by you as a pdf? Also check word versions in use and you are using the same file type .docx ? or try other types that might translate better I.e. you save in various file types and see if that affects line formatting? As I wrote...just guesses....2

If it’s Read Only, save it as another file -Click Save As, then tools, general options and then clear the Read Only box1

Looks like there might be a paragraph style that adds an underline after each paragraph. Really hard to be sure without having the actual document though.

I would highlight the whole area affected and then click on underscore and see if that makes it better or worse. If it makes it worse click on underscore again to get rid of it completely.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards.
