LanTen prepayment meters, no discount voucher

My daughter lives in a flat where the whole block have prepayment meters administered by LanTen. She normally tops up via their website or Paypoint shop with an electricity payment card
My understanding is she should be getting 6 x £66 energy discount vouchers monthly from October to March but she has heard nothing . I can find no mention of it on their website.
Do you get energy from them, have you had your first voucher? is it sent by post, text or email?
This might be one of the reasons PayPoint have had only half the claims they were expecting !

from what i can tell googling LanTen are not an energy supplier. they just act as administrators managing the payments for landlords i think? if they are part of a private energy network then it might be shes not entiled to the 400 (if she doesn't have a direct relationship with a domestic energy supplier).

someone on here might have a better idea but all i can suggest is asking her landlord who the supplier is and if he knows anything about the scheme and how it works in there sitaution.

you could also try putting her address in here and seeing what it says.

It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?

I agree  - your daughter is not taking a supply direct but via a landlord/agency. No £400 as things stand (but watch this space)

I am sure the government thought this would be easy but lots of different supply arrangements exist.
