Vauxhall Corsa Central Console Not Turning Off

I installed a Pure Highway 600 DAB Radio into my Vauxhall Corsa 12 plate which is powered from the cigarette lighter and seem to have a weird problem.
If it is set to AUX for the DAB radio and I leave and lock the car this stays on for around an hour before turning off but if I press the power button and it goes into standy before leaving the vehicle, then this turns off straight away after locking the car.
How can I get it to turn off straight away as I leave the card regardless of whether it's on AUX or on standby?

The radio will have an auto standby in the settings, it is likely set to 1 hour. I don't have a clue what puts it in standby though, it is probably still connected to your phone when you are in the house.vauxhalls have always had a perculiar electrical sytem. Sometimes the 12V socket stays on all the time, sometimes it goes off after a time. It can probably be modified through the OBD port if you have the vauxhall software.My battery charger has a canbus mode that keeps a 12V socket live whilst it is plugged in, so the timer can be over ridden by the device plugged in.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
