    Glad you got the result you wanted. 
    Just to clarify, Octopus don’t ‘actively contact you about credit’. What they do is put a message on your account if your credit is above what they feel is appropriate, and suggest you might request a refund. I don’t know quite how they work that figure out, but if I’ve just requested my 2nd refund. 
    I’m well aware that my usage & bills will increase over the next few months, but it works for me as I’m able to maximise cashback from Santander by managing my energy account this way. With interest rates in the rise I might tweak it a bit😉
