I have heard about all these different benefits that are available but do not know how to find out what me nd my wife are entitled to.Can someone on here tell me best way to find out what we are entitled to.We are both pesioners 75 and 73 years. We get the yearly winter fuel allowance which is £200 but I believ that is going to increase this winter. That is the only benefits we get so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Do you not get your state pension?Depending on your pension income and savings you might qualify for pension credits

The Winter Fuel Payment this year includes £300 pensioner Cost of Living payment, so £500 total for the household, you'll each get £250.
If you're talking about help for energy, if you're in a property band A-D you should have had £150 through your council tax.
If you have a domestic electricity account, i.e. you post your supplier for your energy not a landlord, you should be getting £66/67 credit for 6 months totalling £400.
Beyond that, do you claim Pension Credit and/or a disability benefit?
There were two payments totalling £650 for people claiming Pension Credit, and a payment of £150 for each person claiming a disability benefit (PIP/DLA/AA).
For any actual benefits if you don't claim anything except your State Pension, you should put your details into a benefits calculator

Ring your local coucil and ask if they have a benefits advisor or to redirect you a volunteer organsation as they are good.
When I worked for social services a long while back I recall a training day that cited that certain benefits open doors to many others and these people know about them
Good luck1 -

Which band are you?
Probably best to check your council's website to see what it says.1 -
For those who paid Council Tax by Direct Debit a payment of £150 was either paid direct to your bank account or added as credit to CT account. If not paid by DD there will have been details on local authority on how to claim.
Do you claim Council Tax Reduction? Using a benefits calculator is suggested earlier is best way of checking any entitlement to Pension Credit or CTR.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.1 -

This is the Age UK calculator.
They also have fact sheets on Pension Credit.
And on Attendance Allowance.
For info on Council Tax reduction contact your local council.
Do you rent your house ?Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.1
