Do I pay it back?

Hi,

I am an OAP I use very little electricity and I am in credit I have just received a credit payment on my electricity bill from the government which I understand will be paid regally for a few months.

My question is if I do not use all the allowance by April, will I have to pay back what I have not used?

Please keep it simple for a simple mind!

 Thanks,    Barry.

These credit payments are to help with your energy bills, so gas, coal, oil or whatever if you don't use electricity for heating.  If you build up a large credit balance on your electricity bill you should ask your supplier to refunded it to you.  You could then use the money to pay for another fuel you use, although you don't have to do that.
