Credit Score When Opening New Bank Accounts

I've been interested in the Barclays Rainy Day Saver but I know that I'll have to open a new bank account with them after I've already opened an account with another bank recently (about a month ago). As far as I know, the credit checks that come with opening a new account can affect your score if they're done too often but how long should I wait before looking to apply?

Anytime you want. It's only a current account and your credit score is of no importance.1

Your credit score is a fictitious number that lenders don't even see. You can ignore it.
As above, it's irrelevant, as for a current account you are not applying for credit. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Someone might see all the accounts you've opened and make a decision based on that, but I doubt it would make a difference.
I don't think barclays will offer you an overdraft when opening an account online (they wanted me to go into a branch during covid to show proof of my income & so I don't have an overdraft on mine). S[o they shouldn't need a hard search, though I think they use experian to check you are who you say you are.
