Are rates only secured for that day you call up?!

Am going through a product switch with Halifax and have already paid my ERC on Monday which shows on my account.

Ive been waiting for a ‘signed declaration’ to be sent but my mortgage advisor there only works a couple of days a week and so no response constantly to emails!!

Does anyone know if they can still pull the rate if I’ve paid the ERC but it’s still at ‘pre offer’ stage as i’m waiting on this declaration?!

Also is it a paper signed document through the post or digital?

So stressful waiting for other people!

Rates are secured the moment you apply for the product

You can do product switches by the Halifax portal or by phone call with Halifax

Thank you. I’ve been doing it by phone but whilst uploading necessary documents and going through affordability again to due a term reduction it’s been taking a while!

someone today said that they can then change the rate if it’s gone up!

@lewis7498 Assuming the full application has gone in, you should be fine.
