Hi,

Im on pip and esa.

I am on high rate pip for both mobility and daily living,

I have a income based esa with income based with contributions based overlap.

I get disability premiums  £69.40 and £17.75

I am in the support group.

I am an autistic that can only walk 12 metres and am pretty much house bound, I’ve been diagnosed schizophrenic too.

Can I claim pip, esa or new style and universal credit?

How much can I get for each,?

I’m trying to figure out whether to change my claim? Whether I’d be better off?

Thank you for your time and your help.?

Best to use a benefits calculator https://benefits-calculator.turn2us.org.uk/

If you get income based ESA you cannot claim new style ESA.

you can claim UC but that will end your income based ESA. If any of your existing ESA is contribution based it would continue but would be taken off the UC.

Because you get the SDP in your ESA you would almost certainly get less money on UC than you do on ESA.

The only way to check is to use a benefits calculator and/or ask a local advice agency to do a full benefits check for you.

I don’t know what you mean by can you claim PIP, you said you are already receiving PIP at the enhanced rate for both components. That is the highest rate of PIP.

    (Edited to correct typo)

Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.

My instinct tells me that you would be worse off claiming UC unless there's something about your circumstances you haven't mentioned.

From what you've posted it appears your ESA consists of payment for the Support Group, the severe disability premium (£69.40) and the enhanced disability premium (£17.75). Your ESA should total £204.75 per week / £409.50 per fortnight.

If you claimed UC you would get £689.19 per month or the equivalent of £159.04 per week. That is considerably less than you get at present.

Any contributions based ESA would reduce the amount of UC but overall you would still get £689.19 each month.

Any Housing Benefit you may currently get would be replaced by an additional payment of UC.

Your PIP would remain the same whether you claim ESA or PIP.

You forgot the £120/month SDP protection but even with that, they would still be worse off claiming UC. The SDP erodes over time too so that would be even worse.
