Avios to Nectar conversion rate nerfed

Avios to Nectar conversion rate devalued! What should you do? (headforpoints.com)
Effectively an Avios point will convert to 0.67p to spend at Sainsburys/Argos/Ebay from the 16th, down from 0.8p.
Absolute bummer for anyone doing the Barclays Premier/Avios 100k incentive currently for that, as it's lost £150 worth of value before it's even been sent out. (In fairness it is still a deal worth doing, ~£650).
The Barclaycard (free) Avios card remains the leader in the no-annual-fee non-Amex category, at effectively 0.67% back, but no longer a no brainer.

The alleged Ringleader.........
Its just something else that is slowly being eroded.....
I still have my free BC Avios Card and just use it for everything.
Jan = £715 / £1,000 Feb = £1,275 Mar = £400 (fallen behind will make up in April)
Apr = £ May = £ Jun = £
Oct = £ Nov = £ Dec = £
My message notifying me arrived in my inbox on the 3rd of November, the rates change on the 16th.
I converted 50,000 Avios to 80,000 Nectar last month, and have just done another 50,000 - 80,000 in the last 20 minutes.
Frustratingly, it looks like I will miss out on the 100K Premier/Avios incentive at the last hurdle as they won't give me the Avios Barclaycard. I already have a Platinum Balance Transfer Barclaycard, and when I select "change card" in the app it comes up "no other cards are available"... so the de-valuing softens the blow... a little!
• The poor only have expenses.
• The middle class buy liabilities they think are assets.
It's really quite generous.
it may be the time to finally let go of my legacy Barclaycard Cashback (black card, ed Amex duo, 0.5% cashback -I believe)
I made exactly the same decision, it was a wrench to give up on it as I probably won't get a straightforward cashback rate as good as that one on a non-Amex product again; but nor will it ever earn me £500+ as this offer will. It also leaves me with no Visa credit, can't decide whether or not that's a problem.
