We are in the process of selling a vacant rental property
The property is fitted with prepayment non smart meters for the gas & electric
We have already received the £66 for the October and the November will be here shortly.
How does the scheme work with regarding a change of ownership or will new owners mean the scheme will end?

We anticipate the sale will be completed before Christmas

You will receive the payment for each month you own the property; the determining date is the first of the month.
So you will probably get the December payment.
The new owners will get the payments for January to March, assuming they register promptly for the electricity supply.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

    Thanks
Someone told me that they wouldnt receive the discounts because it is only payable if they own the property by 1st October.
Maybe this was incorrectly stated and should have said the October payment wouldnt be made unless they owned the property by 1st October

If you went on supply with the new company after 1/10 but before 1/11, you would miss the first payment, but get the final five.
