Amex chargeback not showing

Roughly 3 hours ago I was overcharged at Morrisons due to misunderstanding. £27 instead of £12.

One lady with a larger shopping let me in front of her because I had only 4 items. I told the cashier (an older lady) I only have "these 4 items" and as she started scanning she counted the first item 4x... I realised after paying that it was way too much and told her immediately. She sent me to the customer service. They entered -15 in the terminal and I put my Amex in it, entered my PIN and they charged back £15. Or at least that's what should have happened. However, when I log into my Amex, it doesn't show the £15 chargeback anywhere in my online transactions. Still just the £27 pending and nothing more. Anyone has some experience with this? Will it show up later or did the chargeback somehow fail?

So its a £15 refund not chargeback, which is something totally different.

Refunds dont have preauthorisation and so it will show when the funds have cleared and so normally 2-5 days after processing.

Yeah refund. :) So nothing like pending transaction... OK, let's see after a few days. Thanks.

No, pending transaction is an authorization showing before a collection is made... there is no requirement for an authorization to give you money, only to take it (and then technically speaking its optional)

I recently overpaid for a Scan & Go shop in Asda (for some reason a couple of items scanned twice in the app). Went to CS desk who issued a refund. That took about 3 days to process back to my account, though my experience was with a debit, not a credit card.
