You lucky bunch of people with your cheap overnight import! It's not (anything like) as cheap as Agile, but E7 is available to all and has recently (nights of the 3rd/4th/5th, at least) been cheaper overnight than Agile. In my region it's under 15p/kWh.N. Doubt there will be any export for a while, but is E7 compatible with outgoing @£0.15?
(Not that I'm ready to export as don't have dno paperwork yet)..0 -

(Not that I'm ready to export as don't have dno paperwork yet)..I now have outgoing @ 15p, and overnight import @ 15.6p, and it doesn't appear to have caused any issues.I couldn't 'profit' from it, but I could 'time shift' some of my generation for next to nothing*. Even if overnight was below 15p in my region though, I doubt it would cause any trouble. If you filled a battery overnight, only to empty it again during the day for a tiny profit, it can still help the grid with demand management (by a trivial amount but we're talking principles).*until Octopus action my request to move back to single rate that is. Having run the numbers our usage profile is nowhere near where it would need to be for 15.6p at night to offset the 41.1p during the day when compared to 35p day & night.3.6 kW PV in the Midlands - 9x Sharp 400W black panels - 6x facing SE and 3x facing SW, Solaredge Optimisers and Inverter. 400W Derril Water (one day). https://octopus.energy/agile/You don't need an EV for agile (in or out). You just can't have Agile Exports at the same time as an EV import tariff.

22 October, 12:00: We're proud of our heritage bringing innovative new tariffs to market, but for the time being, we've taken the decision to pause new sign ups onto our Agile tariff. We're working out how to ensure that Agile and Tracker continue to reflect wholesale prices whilst applying government subsidy in a way which is fair to everyone. We hope to reintroduce it soon."
