We are fully paid up UK resident pensioners, i.e. meet the Gov's two eligibility criteria. We are in a fortunate position and not in receipt of any benefits. The household gets the same amount whether or not single or a couple. You could see it as a pensioner you have a WFP entitlement but that your individual entitlement is reduced if you are part of a couple (whereas means tested benefit entitlement to a couple is normally made as one payment to just one of them).
