Is there any way of retrieving what I did yesterday?
Thank you.

What version of Excel do you have?
The later versions only autosave if you are saving to Sharepoint/OneDrive... were you saving it to this or a local drive/other cloud provider?1 -

I guess I'm hoping there might be a tool online that will enable me to retrieve it without opening up to a world of malware.0 -
To the best of my knowledge, if you arent using OneDrive as the location to save files then there is no autosaving and so if you seemingly failed to save before exiting (as we've all done) there is no working file hidden away somewhere like there would have been with older versions.1

Be grateful you have a recent backup - lots of people don't!

We get used to so many keystroke combinations that we tend to do them automatically. Like hitting delete, then the Enter key because it always asks "are you sure?"I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. have you done a search on your whole device for files type xlsx and see if it could have been saved elsewhere?3
