Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Very dark start to the day.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy..
Dinner last night was a use up of stuff from the fridge.
Work wasn't too bad although someone had gone sick so what I did changed. Was a pretty busy day so passed quickly.
We'll see what today brings.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc, glad your day passed quickly.
Still raining, still dark and gloomy, will it ever end? We had torrential rain as I left work yesterday, the roads were flooded and traffic slow but at least everyone was being sensible.
Work was really busy yesterday, didn't have a minute. The new HT has moved my colleagues back into my office, very small room with 3 people in. One is unbelievably loud and the other had what I thought was a horrible perfume on but it turned out to be an air freshener. She's only been with us a week or so and I didn't want to cause an arguement but it has to go!
Spoke with my pal from Oz last night, she is visiting family on the south coast so I'm looking at flying down at the weekend for a quick visit. It would be so good to see her even if it's just for 24 hours.
Hope you're feeling better today Snoozer, Nelski and dp1.
I've been up for hours, can't cope with the clock change! Ordered some wireless headphones for DGS's Christmas present so that's one thing off my list.
Have a good day everyone, take care. XX12 -
Morning
Well Halloween was a total wash out last night so maybe the fun returned inside just like the olden days. Seems a lot colder this morning.
Saw mum yesterday she seemed fine so she may be able to go to Blackpool. They are going to drive through the lights then stop for fish and chips on the way back. She has a better social life than me
Off for my hair cut today. Its right up there with dentist visits for me but its worth it I guess. She only has one person in the salon at a time which is a lot better from the days pre covid when it would be packed.
Food wise I'm thinking sausage mash and gravy tonight
Hope everyone has a good day12 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. I'm like you CAMELOT I've been tossing and turning willing the time to move on. I'm a poor sleeper at the best of times but the clock change has upskittled me even further.
It's perhaps as well as I am up early as I have a busy day ahead. The hairdresser is coming at 9.00 (not my choice!) then I am dashing off to meet BFF for our usual Tuesday coffee morning then lunch. As soon as I am back home again this afternoon the two youngest DGDs are getting dropped off from school for tea and sleepover (and again tomorrow) as DD and her lovely fella are off to the gorgeous spa for 2 nights. A sort of relaxing interlude since finally leaving her job at the w/e and before starting her new one next Monday. I have yet to christen tea for the girls but it will have to be something quick. Plenty of choice in the freezer.
I managed to find some fleecy pj's yesterday and gave them a test drive at bedtime. They felt lovely and snuggly but I was far too warm in bed, which probably contributed to my poor sleep. They will come out again when the nights get colder!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies and fed up. NELS and DP1 I hope you can soon shake off your aches and pains. SNOOZER have a nice break up here in God's Own Country and I hope you soon feel better for the rest (although you sound to have a lot of trips planned!) Have a good day folks and take care xx

Morning all.Air fresheners in shared spaces are horrible Camelot. Can you open a window? Being cold for a wee while may dissuade your colleague from imposing her spray on others.Nelski - great news about your DM, I hope she continues to get better.Yesterday morning I finally faced and tackled the pile of documents which needed to be scanned. Some were three months old 🙃 so I had a marathon session dealing then burning them all. Actually it only took an hour so not even worth putting it off for so long.Later on my cleaner came so I went off out to Oban to get some bits and pieces which I'd forgotten when in Glasgow. The dreadful rain sort of cleared up and became heavy drizzle. When I got back (to a clean house) I found that cleaner had gone into the big barn and filled up my large fireside log bucket - what a joy it was. 😀 It was so lovely of her and I really appreciated it. I wasn't looking forward to going back out in the rain with my head torch on to drag some logs out. The weather was still too mild for lighting the woodburner. The chap up the hill brought his son down for his Halloween treat. Everyone here is very scattered with no other children locally. Anyway, he played a tune on his chanter (McLeod's wedding I think) with Dad harmonising from the jeep. Sweets were added to his spooky hand.Today is yet to be planned. So far I only have 'turn on DW' and 'turn on WM' on my to-do list. There'll become 'empty both' at some point later. Then there's the monthly banking spreadsheet to fill in which I enjoy. I've pulled some soup out of the freezer so food is sorted.Hugs and good vibes to our poorlies. Happy Tuesday to all.11

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.Great to see you back Nels.Izzy, we used to eat raw turnip as well, why on earth we did it I don't know. We just used to go round our street and the neighbouring street, everywhere smelled of scorched turnip!Sorry to hear you didn't sleep well TA, though I know you're like me, not a wonderful sleeper at the best of times. I don't seem to be affected by the clocks changing, though DH seems to be, especially when they go forward in the spring.I wasn't out at all yesterday, just did housework and started to tidy my card making stuff.I'll nip out today though.Hope our poorlies are feeling better, and that everyone has a good day.Take care folks.13

Good morning all. Sun trying to come through here in our little corner of Kent. Lovely walk down to the beach and along the prom yesterday, really warm!
still apple processing, delicious apple and blackberry sponge pud with custard for dinner last. Lucky to have an allotment locally.

Morning everyone it’s dark and damp here it’s rained all night I had sweets out for anyone calling last night not a peep didn’t seem to be anyone about anywhere don’t know if it was because it was a school night we only have a couple of houses in the street with kids but they must have just celebrated in the house. Weigh in tonight I’ve been good so let’s see if it shows on the scales and I don’t want to see any of you laughing but I’ve been given some skipping ropes I am going to have a try with at the weekend so if you see anyone walking about with a little scruffy dog and two black eyes say hello.thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing10

Morning all
Dry here for now but rain due later, I have two clients coming today both really positive and up for anything which is lovely, I would like to get them out for a walk later if we can and then home to do some baking which we never got round to yesterday, Taff I always give the clients cake to take home with them and we always have a small piece while here, but todays two are both watching their weight so we have a tiny piece, OH and DD take a bit to work so its soon gone ! Yesterday went really well and the two ladys got on really well which was nice.
Dinner tonight will be cheesy bean pie with sausages, I will make the pie up today so will just have to put it in the oven later, I have a meeting after work so it can be cooking while I am at that.
DW has been emptied this morning and I have had a tidy round, will run the hoover over before they come this morning.
Nels lovely to see you posting, glad your mum is ok she has a better social life than me too ! xx
Have good days all xxx11 -
Morning all,
Haven't posted for a few days. DMum had a fall on Saturday - blacked out at the bus stop and her face took the brunt. She had an egg size lump on her temple, bl00dy nose and cut lip. So spent most of Saturday in A&E with her then brought her home here for observation. She doesn't eat enough, needs more salt in her diet, needs to drink more fluids (only 2 coffees a day....) and needs potassium tablets as it showed as low in her blood test. DSis and I are investigating POA as she couldn't remember her meds details - luckily I had them written on a piece of paper in my purse!
In other news - I lost 1lb at FC, but probably put it back on as stopped for Burger K!ng drive thru on way home from the hospital!
Sorry you're poorly @dp1 and glad you're feeling better @snoozer. Good to 'see' you @Nelski. Glad you enjoyed the live stream concert @Gers. I'd booked to see Hocus Pocus on Sunday but obviously didn't get there!
WFH today and will have hm BNS and pepper soup. Dinner is chicken pesto pasta. Some washing to do but weather is foul so may leave it until tomorrow/Thursday.
Have a good day all

Morning all. Sunny outside but I doubt it will last.
My dentist visit yesterday was fine, although I've been told to think about having one of my teeth crowned and reminded to use those little brushes more often. Always something!
Tune playing went well in the afternoon and I now know which ones need more practice. We also looked at sewing flowers on to my hat band; a tedious job which I've started but am finding it hard going. DH did get the glue gun out at one point but needle and thread will still be required.
Today I might make a few little cakes as we're collecting DGS from pre school this afternoon so that his parents can have a bit more uninterrupted work time.
Sorry to hear about your mum Coxy; that sounds worrying.
Happy November everyone.11
