How much would a minor roof repair cost?

Hi all
I appreciate it's hard to say without seeing anything, but a range would be nice. I'd rather get someone to come over and be prepared with the bill. Spent 6 months last year trying to get someone in before giving up.
There are two biggish holes in the roof, around 6x3 inches if I had to guess. This is causing leaks when we have heavy rain. I just need these two bits patched up.
Any idea what I should be paying roughly?

Impossible to say without knowing the fabric of, or type of roof in question. Posting some pics would help immensely.
Surely it's not that difficult to get a roofer out to quote.0 -
It can be extremely difficult to get any trades to come out to quote. A friend of ours wants a dormer created and a complete room framed out in the loft. She's spoken to a number of builders who have promised to get back to her, and not one actually has. This has been over a period of months. Good trades are in high demand due to the backlog created by Covid.

Trust me, it is. Last year I called around a bunch of people from checkatrade. None showed up. The only person that seemed to entertain me over the phone spent most of his time telling me he was booked for the next 3 months. Tried to get something in for then but just gave up when nothing happened.shiraz99 said:Impossible to say without knowing the fabric of, or type of roof in question. It's a standard tiled roof.0 -
What do you mean by 'holes' then? Missing/broken tiles?Deleted_User said:

Ask related trades if they know someone who does that work. But you will probably need to hire them to get them to tell you anything useful. A window cleaner might know someone, so for the price of getting your windows cleaned you might get some good leads.PS. Sourcing replacement tiles might be a problem if it is an old house. Maybe you could start there my trying to source them yoruself. Is there a roof window or any other way you could safely get up close to the tiles to measure them?0

I have a thing about dirty and damp spaces. Only way I'm going up there is in a full hazmat suit. Managed to find someone from checkatrade. Good reviews, quite a few of them, but it makes me nervous he's 30 miles away and coming for a quote for a minor job. Maybe he works in the area.Mistral001 said:Ask related trades if they know someone who does that work. But you will probably need to hire them to get them to tell you anything useful. The cost of roof repairs can depend to a large extent on access. If a large and complicated scaffold structure is needed then this will likely cost more than any other aspect of the work.
