£400 Energy Discount

I live on an estate whereby the landlord has a contract with the electricity supplier and we pay the landlord. There are 12 apartments on the estate who all do the same thing. Our gas is LPG and we have our own contract with the supplier and pay them directly. 

I can’t seem to find out how we would receive any of the government support for energy bills? Most assistance seems to be going via customers electricity suppliers. 

If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great.  🙏🏼

You're not eligible for any that have been announced so far.

Even the extra £100 for people with 'alternative' heating fuels is going via electricity suppliers.

There is the intention for alternative assistance:

Energy Bill Support Scheme Alternative Funding

This scheme is intended to provide the £400 of support for households across the UK that would otherwise miss out on the Energy Bills Support Scheme – which the vast majority of households are already receiving – as they do not have a domestic electricity contract. It will also support the delivery of £100 Domestic Alternative Fuel Payments where these cannot be automatically delivered to households through other means, such as suppliers. The Alternative Funding will provide the full support this winter, with an announcement on this in due course. The Bill will provide powers to deliver the funding through designated bodies.

So the intention is definitely there.  The detail, not so much.
