Mould on skirting board

Hi - we renovated an older house this year including new plaster and skirting boards. There was no sign of any damp prior when we bought it (we had a full building survey) but in our living room, there is some mould forming on the skirting boards (photo). There is nothing on any walls so just wondering what could be causing it, and would welcome suggestions. Could it be the new plaster drying out and causing damp on the skirting boards? It seems to be mainly on external walls but possibly a little bit on internal too.It also doesn’t seem to be a problem in any other room.

What's directly behind the wall there? You could have a cold spot there allowing some condensation on that one area.1

Give it a wipe down with dilute bleach and see if the problem returns.
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –
