The on and off of tile paint please

Trying to brighten a dull kitchen I saw a chequered effect of tiling in a brochure that would really help cheer it up.

It would involve painting some tiles, not all, which should be easier and less obvious.

How is tile paint for cleaning?
Is there anything special about putting it on? Type of brush etc.
If i want to change it, or deteroriates, how easy is it to remove? 

I have plans for work top and floor in the future and may want to revert to the original. Thanks

In my experience, it brushes on well with a normal paint brush and cleans ok. Never tried to get it off but it should just scrape off but possibly scratch the finish underneath if you're unlucky.
Be carfull not to paint the grout (or re-do the grout afterwards) as it can look a bit !!!!!! otherwise!

Tips like that make a difference.
The finish underneath should stay intact. Good tiles just a lot of grey and brown which looks depressing.
And I'm an ex artist so keeping neat is ok.

One thing worse would be it looking amateurish.
