yes kids are expensive. thats what we signed up fro when we decided to have them! but theres also a lot of help out there so the first port of call for anyone struggling should really be somewhere like citisens advice.

or somewhere like this were people can help her work out how to read her meter herself. work out what she is using. suggest ways she can cut down on her use without seriously changing her way of life. and talk to her energy supplier to get her dd set at the right rate so she's not surprised by her bill when its generated.

It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?

The fact that she seems patently unable to read her meter or work out a bill, I wonder how she's got a job writing for a newspaper, then I realised it was the DM - nuff said.

TBH she's a whinger and whiner and I'm not sure that she's a very nice person either.

From her bio, she used to be editor of Marie Claire. My wife used to read it at that time and from what I recall the whole magazine was a bit like that - articles that promised to go somewhere but never did.
