Hi, Looking for some advice please
My mum has received her Scottish Power Gas bill for her smart- prepayment meters and everything looks fine with actual meter readings however on the bill there is a credit to the account for just over £130 and it says “PP Under Collecting Meter”. Can anyone help with why this credit has been applied?

Hi,your mum shouldn't get a bill if on pre payment meters, possibly a statement.Could it be the GOV benefit that has been added?0

@frugalmacdugal Thank you for replying, Yes sorry was meant to say it’s her quarter statement that’s came out and I’m not too sure it is about any Gov Help as she isn’t at retirement age yet and is still working so unsure what help she would actually be entitled apart from the £66 a month to the Electric account. She tried phoning Scottish Power but they are closed nowMortgage Starting Balance - £158,000.00

I believe there was an issue where on some gas prepayment meters, the prices were not increased in April when they should have been and this credit is to balance that out, so your mum is not asked to pay back the difference between what she paid and what she should have paid1
