Refund to Old Debit Card

Not technically a ‘credit card’ question but a debit card question so hope I’ve posted this in the right place. 

I bought an item on Amazon which has been sent back and Amazon have issued a refund to my original payment method. The issue is, back when I bought the item in question, my debit card was a VISA card from my bank. A while back, my bank replaced my VISA debit card with a Mastercard. 

I know that if I’d had a new Visa card the refund would still go through but does it still work the same now that the bank have changed over to Mastercard? (I still have the same bank account).

there should be a link between the old and new cards given that it's the same bank.  But to be sure of getting the money back easily you might want to ring them to check what's happening - this is assuming you don't see it quite soon on your account.

Ring bank & ask. It will have gone into a internal account. So could be waiting to be moved to your account.
