    Yes, when it comes to buying and selling investment trusts are just shares and are traded in the same way. If having paper share certificates is worrying you and you don't want to convert them to electronic ones then there are companies which will take the certificates off you, sell them and send you the money. For example www.sellmysharecertificates.com charge £25 per share for any number of paper certificates.
